To His Excellency William More, Esquire, President of the supreme Executive Council of the State of Pennsylvania.
We, the Elders of the Church of the United Brethren, settled in this State, beg leave in the name of the said Brethren, most humbly to congratulate Your Excellency, the late, to your being elected President of this State.
Permit us, Sir, to assure Your Excellency, that, so as we have do hitherto, we and every Member of our Society, will always demean ourselves as true and faithfull subjects of this State, and by our uniform conduct, hope to enjoy the protection of Government, so as we have enjoy'd it under the late most worthy President.
May the God of Peace, during Your Government, grant that most desireable blessing to this Country, and may he grant and give to Your Excellency health and all desirable happiness.
